Sandrine Thibault
Senior Project Manager, Parliamentary Precinct Landscape

Sandrine Thibault is a senior project and program manager with more than 20 years of experience leading complex planning, infrastructure renewal, and city-building initiatives across Canada and the United States. She currently leads the Parliament Hill Landscape Renewal Program and other strategic planning initiatives within Canada's Parliamentary Precinct, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, major consultant contracts, stakeholder engagement, and implementation strategies. Throughout her career, Sandrine has guided award-winning planning and public realm projects at the municipal, state, federal, and private-sector levels. She is recognized for collaborative leadership, strategic thinking, and successfully delivering high-profile projects in complex public-sector environments.

Erin Pietersma
Landscape Architect, Public Services and Procurement Canada

Erin Pietersma is a professional Landscape Architect with 17 years of experience in both the private and public sector. Her project experience encompasses a full range of landscape architecture and planning projects, at various project scales within the National Capital Region (NCR) and beyond.

As a Landscape Architect with PSPC, she provides expert guidance and project delivery support, with a focus on heritage conservation and sustainable development. Erin is currently providing Project Management support for the Supreme Court of Canada Rehabilitation Project.

Erin is a full member of the OALA and a member of the Alliance for Historic Landscape Preservation.

Derek Hardy
Architect & Project Director, bbb architects Ottawa Inc.

Derek Hardy has worked with Ritchard Brisbin and bbb’s Ottawa office for over thirty-five years, leading a wide range of civic and institutional projects. Most recently, he managed the design and execution of the federal governments' Energy Services Acquisition Program (ESAP) in the nation's capital. Consisting of four energy centres and two pumphouses across 14km of distribution pipes, bbb worked with WSP to ensure that each site offered unique public realm and gardens while concealing the majority of the massive plant architecture below grade.
Prior to the ESAP project, Derek was the Project Director for bbb architects' dramatic free-form design for the Ottawa Convention Centre, the EXcentriCité media studio and original eight building campus design for La Cité Collegiale, and the Medical Council of Canada’s headquarters in Ottawa. His projects support bbb's strong belief that every architectural project has an obligation to improve the local context and public realm within which it is sited.
