Becky Katz
Manager, Transportation Services Operations and Maintenance, City of Toronto
Becky Katz is a Manager in the City of Toronto’s Transportation Services Operations and Maintenance section, overseeing a team of 70 staff responsible for the upkeep and winter maintenance of the city’s sidewalks, bikeways, and streets. Previously, she led Toronto’s Cycling and Pedestrian Projects unit, overseeing a team of 40 and delivering the largest on-street cycling network expansion in the city’s history. Before moving to Toronto, Becky was a Robert Bosch Fellow in Berlin, studying grassroots transportation advocacy and its impact on policy. She began her career in Atlanta, working in park design before becoming the city’s first Chief Bicycle Officer.
