Joseph Luk is a Senior Urban Designer for the City of Toronto with over 15 years of experience leading master planning and policy initiatives that shape Toronto’s growth. His work spans major projects such as the East Harbour, Toronto’s laneway suites study, and a range of high-profile development reviews, where he has advanced strategies for complete communities, housing, and the public realm. Joseph plays a key role in bridging government priorities with design excellence, ensuring that planning frameworks translate into high-quality, inclusive, and resilient urban environments. He is also a guest lecturer on urban design and planning at the University of Toronto’s John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, and at the University of Guelph’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development.
