Nasim Adab is the Urban Design Program Manager for the Toronto and East York District South (TEYS) at the City of Toronto She has Master’s degrees in Architecture and Urban Design. A Registered Professional Planner with 20 years of experience in Canada, Nasim has a strong background in both the public and private sectors.
Before stepping into her current role, Nasim spent nearly a decade at the City of Toronto as a Senior Urban Designer and Urban Designer. During this time, she led the urban design review of complex development applications and contributed to built form and public realm studies, secondary plans, and urban design guidelines across various areas of Downtown Toronto.
Prior to joining the City, she worked for almost eight years at several private consulting firms based in Toronto. Her professional journey has been enriched by her passion for travel, sketching, and mentoring students and emerging professionals. She is sometimes invited to participate in design studio reviews and speak about the vital role of urban design in city-building.
