Will Klassen is an Associate at Moriyama Teshima Architects (MTA) with over 15 years of experience delivering complex, sustainable, and community-focused developments across Canada. He is known for his integrated design approach that responds to the challenges of urban contexts while advancing environmental performance and promoting inclusive, community-oriented outcomes.
Will played a key role on Limberlost Place at George Brown College, one of Canada’s largest institutional mass timber projects, where he led the project through Site Plan Approval with the City of Toronto and secured endorsement from Waterfront Toronto’s Design Review Panel.
His portfolio includes a range of significant institutional, educational, and mixed-use residential projects in dense urban environments. His recent work includes Poplar Road Public School, a high-performance mass timber replacement school for the Toronto District School Board, and Post Lofts, a 12-storey mass timber residential development located in Oshawa, Ontario. His current work focusses on the application of mass timber to develop kit-of-parts low carbon solutions for desperately needed community building typologies such as schools, housing, and long-term care.
